Good Luck Salem!
SALEM HAS BEEN ADOPTED Salem, now Baggy arrived to us in January 2023 as a stray in a terrible condition.
St Giles Animal Welfare not-for-profit provides a safe and loving environment to animals who need our help. Every animal deserves a second chance at their happy ever after, and that is what we are dedicated to achieve.
‘It is our mission to advocate for animals in need and put them at the forefront of everything we do. Providing a better future for unwanted pet animals by rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming them. To work with our local community to educate and run community projects that ensure animals’ needs are understood and met. Only then can we hope to give animals a second chance at a better life.’
Jack Linnell – Director
We are continuously fundraising to carry out the crucial work we do.
All money raised will be purely for the running of the rescue and other vital community services we offer, like the Food Bank and Education Projects.
We can only continue to fulfil our commitment to these animals in our care, if our colleagues, volunteers, followers, sponsors and donators continue to support us.
Our love and dedication for the animals motivates and drives St Giles Animal Welfare forward with our main goal.
We look forward to working with you as we proceed forward as St Giles Animal Welfare Ltd. We all do this because we love animals and think they deserve a second chance at a better life.
It is with a very heavy heart that I have to inform you all of the very sad passing of one of our original and most dedicated supports.
It was our very great privilege as a family to meet Julie when we first bought St Giles. She had been involved for a number of years prior to this and had tried very hard to raise funds and improve the lives of the animals needing rescue.
Julie was the most loving, giving lady who adored dogs and together with her family donated items, collected donations and raised much needed funds. She also fostered dogs and was a valuable member for the trustee committee.
Julie answered a plea from us one Christmas when we had many rescue dogs at the centre. We we’re desperate to get them into foster homes over the festive period. She intended to have a little dog, something small she said. When she arrived all of the little ones had gone off to their foster homes so we jokingly asked her to take Jessie a Great Dane cross. In true Julie fashion and with the support of her mum she took her home and that’s where she stayed.
Adopted by the family and into a truly lovely life with people who always put animals first. Her brother Alan has also supported us in so many ways. We will be for ever grateful to this lovely family.
Julie won many awards and was a finalist at Crufts with her assistance dog. We are thankful that she was recognised by many for the work she did for animals. It wasn’t just the dogs that were heroes, Julie was as well.
We hope Julie that you can now run free over rainbow 🌈 bridge with all the dogs.
You will be missed.
With grateful thanks and much love, Vanessa, Jack, Laura and all at St Giles Animal Centre. X
