At St Giles Animal Welfare, we welcome volunteers from local organisations, businesses and community groups who would like to spend a day supporting our rescue animals and dedicated welfare team.
Over the years, we’ve built fantastic relationships with many local companies and have loved welcoming their teams to our centre. Not only do volunteers make a valuable contribution to the day-to-day care of our animals, but they also have the opportunity to meet some of our wonderful canine and feline residents and learn more about the work we do.
Be a part of our Corporate Volunteer Programme
What to Expect
Our Corporate Volunteering Days are designed for groups of up to 10 people and offer a hands-on experience supporting our welfare team.
During your visit, your team may help with:
- Walking our rescue dogs
- Socialising cats and kittens
- Cleaning kennels and catteries
- Preparing enrichment activities for our animals
- Supporting a practical afternoon project that benefits the centre
Every day is slightly different depending on the needs of the animals, making each visit a unique and rewarding experience.
Supporting Our Animals
To help cover the costs of running these volunteer days and to support the ongoing care of our rescue animals, we ask corporate groups for a minimum donation of £100 per visit.
This can be given as either a monetary donation or a donation of pet food and supplies.
Many businesses enjoy making the day even more meaningful by organising fundraising activities beforehand, such as cake sales, raffles or sponsored challenges.
Your donation helps provide essential care, for example:
- £10 heats a kennel or pen for one month
- £15 feeds one animal for two weeks
- £20 per month sponsors a kennel or pen
- £25 pays for a veterinary health check
- £50 funds a cat spay
- £100 pays for a dog neutering procedure
Every contribution helps us continue rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals in need.

Our Mission
To provide rescue support for abused, abandoned, displaced pets; to ultimately introduce them to a loving family and find their forever home.
Our Vision
To create a safe place for ALL rescued animals to find succor, healing and hope. To help educate and transform human/pet relationships through continual learning.
Our Values
To provide the same level of love and care for all our stakeholders as we do our rescues. To be recognised not just for the good work we do but for the good we inspire.
Volunteer
Volunteering is an enjoyable way of helping a rescue animal and can be very rewarding to both you and the animal. We have a range of volunteering roles from dog walking and cat cuddling through to helping raise much needed funds or home visiting. You will meet like minded people and enjoy developing or learning new skills.
