Volunteering

Volunteering is an enjoyable way of helping a rescue animal and can be very rewarding to both you and the animal. We have a range of volunteering roles from working with our dog or cat teams through to helping raise much needed funds, helping in the laundry or home checking.
Our animal based roles are designed to help support the work of the staff and all feature a variety of tasks including dog walking, cat socialisation, kennel and cattery pen cleaning as well and other general jobs that help ensure the site runs smoothly.

We value our amazing volunteers greatly and run regular training sessions to help support their development.

Although we currently have a waiting list for our animal based roles, we are currently looking for volunteers to help us at our many events we attend each year.

We are looking for:
* Dog Walkers
* Cat Volunteers
* Office help
*
Maintenance / Odd Jobs
* Home Visits
* Help with Fundraising & Events

 For more information about volunteering, please feel free to contact volunteer@sgaw.co.uk or click below and apply now.

Please note: We have had an increase in volunteer enquiries and our team are working very hard to respond as soon as possible. There currently is a waiting list for any new volunteer requests. We are working hard to accommodate everyone who has been in touch.
