St Giles Animal Welfare Christmas List
Our Wish this Christmas is for all our animals in our care to find their forever homes, in the meantime, we want to make sure each fur baby feels loved, warm and safe which at the centre. This is where you can help. Below are some Christmas wishes we would like your help to become true for each of our animals. Please help if you can and let’s make this Christmas the best one yet for our residence.

A Christmas Wish for a dog
Buy a dog a Xmas dinner – £5 – Every Christmas we prepare a big festive dinner for all the dogs in our care, and we would love for every single one to have their own special meal. Your donation helps us make that happen. It covers a delicious Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, giving our dogs a joyful day filled with warmth, love and full tummies while they wait for their forever homes.
1-hour Secure field rental – £7 – Give a dog the gift of freedom and fun. This covers a session in a secure field where our dogs can safely run, play, and enjoy some well-deserved enrichment time. It helps them build confidence, socialise, and burn off some of that kennel energy.
Heat a kennel for the month – £20 – A simple act that makes a big difference. £20 helps us keep a kennel warm and comfortable during the cold winter months, making sure our dogs stay safe, cosy, and cared for.
Groom – £35 – A professional groom can make a world of difference to a rescue dog. Many dogs arrive matted, dirty, or neglected, and this donation helps them feel clean, comfortable, and cared for. It’s often one of the first steps in their recovery journey.
Vet trip – £45 – This donation covers a vital vet trip for one of our dogs. Every animal that comes into our care receives at least two vet trips before they are ready to be rehomed. These visits include anything from health checks, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and sadly often extra care or medication for dogs arriving as strays or in poor condition.
Sponsor a dog for December – £200 – Sponsoring a dog for December means you’ll be providing everything that dog needs during their stay with us. This includes food, bedding, toys, heating, enrichment, trips out and all their veterinary care. Many of our dogs arrive as strays or from difficult situations and require a lot of attention and treatment before they’re ready for adoption. You can choose a dog in our care that you’d love to support, and ensure that all their costs are covered for the whole month. And in the situation that the dog your adopting gets a new home during December we’ll even utilise the remainder of your donation to care for the next dog! Sponsors will receive regular updates on their sponsored dog throughout December so you can see how your kindness is making a real difference, and we’ll tag you as the sponsor in all posts about that dog for the month!
This is a perfect way for both individuals and businesses to make a meaningful impact this festive season – giving a rescue dog everything they need to feel safe, healthy, and loved.
Feed a dog for December – £100 – Help us keep our dogs happy, healthy and full of energy this December. Your donation provides nourishing meals for a dog all month long, including their very own Christmas dinner on the big day. You’ll even get weekly updates of dinner with your dog for the month! You will be helping to fill hungry tummies, keep tails wagging and give our dogs the comfort and care they deserve while they wait for their forever homes.
A Christmas Wish for a cat
Buy a cat a Xmas dinner – £4 – Each Christmas we make up a special festive dinner for all the cats at the centre, and we want every one of them to enjoy a tasty treat on the big day. Your donation helps provide a Christmas dinner for a cat in our care, making sure they feel comforted, loved and part of the celebration while they wait for their new home.
Vet trip – £45 – This donation covers a vital vet trip for one of our cats. Every animal that comes into our care receives at least two vet trips before they are ready to be rehomed. These visits include anything from health checks, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and sadly often extra care or medication for dogs arriving as strays or in poor condition.
Buy a heat pad – £50 – A warm and cosy heat pad can transform a cat’s comfort. Your donation helps provide warmth and reassurance to cats who might be nervous, unwell, or recovering from their time on the streets.
Feed a cat for December – £80 – Help us keep our cats content, healthy and full of love this December. Your donation provides nourishing meals for a cat all month long, including their very own Christmas dinner on the big day. You will even receive weekly updates featuring your cat’s dinners throughout the month. Your kindness helps fill hungry tummies, keep purrs rumbling and give our cats the comfort and care they deserve while they wait for their forever homes.
Sponsor a cat for December – £150 – Sponsoring a cat for December means you will be providing everything that cat needs during their stay with us. This includes their food, cosy bedding, toys, heating, enrichment, and all their essential veterinary care. Many of our cats arrive as strays or from difficult situations and need extra attention, medical treatment, and patience before they are ready to find a new home. You can choose a cat currently in our care that you would love to support and ensure that all of their costs are covered for the whole month. If the cat you are sponsoring finds their forever home during December, we will use the remainder of your donation to care for the next cat in need, so your kindness continues to make a difference. Sponsors will receive regular updates on their chosen cat throughout December, showing exactly how your generosity is helping them recover, relax, and thrive. We will also tag you as their sponsor in all posts about that cat for the month, so everyone can see the wonderful support you are providing.
This is a perfect way for both individuals and businesses to make a meaningful impact this festive season, giving a rescue cat everything they need to feel safe, healthy, and loved.
