Teddy’s Journey

Follow the story of Teddy our blind Frenchie who is stealing the hearts of everyone he meets.🧸💕

Teddy came to us is August, he was born blind and at only 11 months old found the world extremely difficult to navigate. He hadn’t received the care and guidance a blind puppy needed and was tarnished with being a reactive dog. What hadn’t been understood was the terrible pain he was in every single day. His eyes were swollen and sore with a build up of pressure behind them.

💕Our team made the decision to do everything we could to help Teddy 💕

He went into an emergency foster home, had lots of consultations at our on site Veterinary clinic and extensive training to help with his reaction to new environments and feet! Yes our Teddy has a slight aversion to feet!! 🦶🦶🦶🦶

If he cant see you enter his space he will let you know he isn’t happy and doesn’t feel safe.

Having a foster family enables us to learn all of this information and help his careers and future forever home know how to make him feel safe.

Last week he had surgery to remove his eyes and relieve him of all that pain.

It amazes us all how well he is doing, already less reactive and happier. He has even been out on his first proper walk post op and loving his naps and snacks. Such a warrior.

Although he is loved by all he still hasn’t found his forever home. He will need to be in a home as the only dog and with someone who understands his needs and can offer him a calm nurturing home to call his own. He will need continuous training with his worries and guidance when out on walks. He has a lot of love to give the right home and we think he deserves the same love back as soon as possible.

Could you be that special home for our sweet Teddy🧸?
