Name: Teddy
Breed: Bulldog (French)
Age: 11 months
Teddy was sadly born blind dog, he is currently in foster and receiving the much needed love and care that he requires. Since his surgery he has made a remarkable recovery and back out enjoying his walks and sofa cuddles. Teddy has been crate trained, travels well in the car and loves his tasty treats
We do believe Teddy would benefit from being the only dog in the home and would need an owner who can continue his training in navigating the world as a blind dog.
Dog Friendly: We are continuing Teddy’s socialisation around other dogs but he would need to be the only dog in the home
Cat Friendly: We have not been able to test this at the centre
Small Animal Friendly: ? Can’t assess this at the centre
Has been around Children: ? Teddy is a very sweet boy but we are unsure on how he would be around children, he could potentially live with children of 12+ years pending suitable meet and greets at the centre.
Crate Trained: Sleeps nicely in a crate
How long can the dog be left without issue: Teddy has had some training on being left for short periods of time which is progressing well.
How do they walk on lead: As Teddy is blind, he needs some gentle guidance when walking on the lead
Any reactive behaviour seen: Teddy can be quite interested in some forms of movement due to his senses being heightened.
What are they fed: A mixture of wet and dry food twice a day
