Rue is a gorgeous young adult who has come to us in search of his forever home after arriving with her potential sister, Effie, via the Dog Warden as a stray. Rue has settled in very well here in the short time that she has been in the kennel environment.
Dog Friendly: We are still continuing Rue’s dog socialisation here with other dogs in the Welfare but what we have seen so far has been very positive and she loves to have a good play.
Cat Friendly: We are currently unsure on how Rue would be with a cat
Small Animal Friendly: Unsure due to not being able to safely assess this at the centre.
Has been around Children: We have not been able to assess this at the centre but we believe she could live with children of 12+ years pending suitable meet and greets at the centre.
Crate Trained: We will update any potential adopter if we pursue any crate training here for Rue.
How long can the dog be left without issue: We are unsure at the moment and will be assessing this at the centre as she does have some anxiety when she is away from Effie.
How do they walk on lead: Rue does have positive aspects on lead and can walk nicely but needs a little further guidance as she can find the world a little bit scary but has improved massively so far.
Any reactive behaviour seen: She is still finding her feet and can just be a little worried around some new people but does warm up. She has spent lots of time out on lovely walks with some of our volunteers.
What are they fed: Mixture of wet and dry food two times a day plus a lunchtime enrichment snack to help with brain stimulation.
