Name: Marley
Breed: Patterdale Crossbreed
Age: Est 6 years
Marley is a gorgeous chap who has come to us from a puppy farm through RSPCA South East Branch and is now searching for his forever home. He has settled in the kennel environment very well and has completed most of his assessments.
Dog Friendly: Marley has been around multiple dogs and is now sadly on his own. We are currently assessing Marley with other dogs here at the Welfare but we feel he could potentially live with another calm dog of similar size.
Cat Friendly: We are unsure if Marley has been around cats before but we are unable to test this here.
Small Animal Friendly: Unsure due to not being able to safely assess this at the centre.
Has been around Children: We are unsure if Marley has ever been around children before but based off his initial timid behaviour and he can be skittish of quick movements, we believe he could live with older children pending suitable meet and greets at the Welfare.
Crate Trained: We are aware that in his past, Marley has been crated and due to Marley not being here for very long we have not yet tested if this is something he could benefit with in the home environment. He has done very well in the kennel without a crate.
How long can the dog be left without issue: Marley has settled in the kennel environment well in the short time he has been here with us and seems to be ok being left in the kennel for short periods of time.
How do they walk on lead: He walks well on the lead at this current time but does require to be on a harness and collar. We have a slip lead for him for extra security for him at the Welfare as he has not been exposed much to the big wide world.
Any reactive behaviour seen: We have not seen any reactive behaviour with Marley. We have seen that he can be skittish of sudden movements and this is potentially the same for vehicles also .
What are they fed: Mixture of wet and dry food three times a day plus an enrichment lunchtime snack as he was underweight on his arrival.
