Say hello to our gorgeous Marge! Marge is a beautiful apricot Saluki that came in to us in appalling condition. She was severely underweight and her tail was very injured, therefore she has had to have it amputated with our vets, as it could unfortunately not be saved.
Marge is a very sweet, gentle soul that loves all human company. We have completed assessments on her with familiar and unfamiliar people across the site, and she has the same response to all- she confidently comes up for a cuddle and does attempt a little kiss as well!
She is extremely food orientated and loves nothing more than to tuck in to some tasty treats and have a gentle head rub. She has shown signs of being playful, but she is still finding her feet here and we do think this will be more apparent when she is out of her medical assessments and she is out of the stress of kennels.
We are still assessing her with dogs, her critical distance is around two metres with other dogs. Due to her injuries and ill health when she came in, we wanted to build her up before doing lots of dog to dog assessments with her. Because of this being ongoing, we are looking for her to be the only animal in the home. She also cannot live with any small furry animals in the home as she is a sighthound breed with a high prey drive. She could live with older, calm children.
Marge so desperately needs a sofa to call her own- could you be the happy ever after that this wonderful girl truly deserves after a sad start to her life?
