FOSTER HOME NEEDED

Hello,

My name is Rory and I am new here at St Giles.

I am finding the kennels quite scary at the moment. For the first few days I spent a lot of time in the outside area of my kennel. I would try barking in fear to make myself seem like a confident dog, but this is not the case and really, I am a big softy.

I am a big boy, weighing around 38kg currently but I am just under a year old, so I am likely to still get a bit bigger. Apparently my Microchip doesn’t show my breed, but the kind people here think I am possibly a Rhodesian Ridgeback X Rottweiler, what do you think I might be?

I am looking for a foster home. I would like somewhere quiet where I can gain confidence and build bonds. I have started making great friendships with the lovely people who care for me at St Giles. I even had cuddles today, this was my first time feeling brave enough to have cuddles since I have been here. I love eating food and treats. I also love playing with toys, which I will do with any potential fosterers too once I am feeling more myself.

As I am nervous currently, I haven’t met any dogs yet at the Centre but the people at St Giles have seen me passing dogs and currently have no concerns, however I would benefit with being the only animal in the home for my foster period whilst I continue my assessments.

If you think you might be able to offer a foster placement for me to come out of my shell and show my true potential, then please fill in a foster application form and note my name on the form.

I’m looking forward to cuddles with you soon X
