Alfie, you are a very handsome, senior chap
Alfie, a 10 year old JRT, has recently come to us for rehoming after his owner has fallen ill and will no longer be able to look after Alfie.
Dog Friendly: We have had feedback about Alfie and that he was happy to go on walks with other dogs but doesn’t like dogs in his face or touching him so he would prefer to be the only dog in the home.
Cat Friendly: We are unsure on how Alfie is with cats.
Small Animal Friendly: Unsure due to not being able to safely assess this at the centre.
Has been around Children: We would be looking at an adult only home for Alfie as he can be worried around children.
Crate Trained: Has not been crate trained at the centre, but this may benefit him in the home so he has a safe space which means leaving the crate door open at all times so he can choose when to go in and out. We can give any potential adopters advice and training on how to do this
How long can the dog be left without issue: From what we have been informed, Alfie has not been left for long periods of time but does seem to be quite settled when he is in the kennel on own for short periods throughout the day.
How do they walk on lead: He walks well on the lead and we are doing some harness touch training with him.
Any reactive behaviour seen: Alfie is a little touch sensitive and is quite independent. We are still currently assessing him at this time.
What are they fed: He is fed soft food twice a day
Weight: 6kg
