Meet Thomas
Thomas is an approximately 3-year-old Lurcher cross and one of the gentlest boys you could hope to meet. He came to us as a stray and sadly shows some signs of having had a difficult start to life.
Despite this, Thomas has been wonderful with everyone he’s met at the centre. He’s very affectionate with our team, takes treats gently, and walks nicely on the lead. He generally gets on well with other dogs, but he can become a little overwhelmed if they are too full on. Because of this, we feel Thomas would be happiest as the only dog in the home where he can relax and enjoy the attention all to himself. We don’t know how he would react to cats, but given his breed we think a pet-free home would suit him best.
Thomas does have a minor issue with one of his knees, which likely stems from his earlier hard life. Our vets have carried out a full assessment and it isn’t causing him any pain. It simply means that he won’t be suited to lots of high-impact exercise or running for miles off lead, as this could put extra strain on it.
What Thomas really loves most is spending time with people. He’s a very affectionate boy who enjoys relaxing and having cuddles with the staff, so he’d be happiest in a home where someone has plenty of time to spend with him and give him lots of fuss (and the occasional treat!)

Could you be the one to give Thomas the loving home he deserves?
