Name: Spot
Breed: Dalmation
Age: Est 7 years
Spot is a lovely girl who has come to us in search of rehoming due to change of circumstances in her original home. She has settled in brilliantly, thoroughly enjoys her walks and of course, lots of cuddles with the staff.
Dog Friendly: Assessing with dogs but has had some positive meet and greets at the centre and we feel she could potentially live with another dog if introduced correctly at the centre. We believe she would prefer a dog that is of her own size and larger.
Cat Friendly: Has lived with cats before and can potentially do so again after slow and steady introductions in the home environment starting with scent swapping. Would need to be a dog savvy cat.
Small Animal Friendly: ? Can’t assess this at the centre
Has been around Children: Previous feedback indicates that Spot has been around children and has settled with them nicely therefore we believe she could live with children again pending suitable meet and greets at the centre and continued supervision in the home.
Crate Trained: Not yet been completed, needs assessing but we will update any potential adopters
How long can the dog be left without issue: Fine in kennel environment, doesn’t seem too worried about being left but she is finding the kennel environment stressful at the moment due to not experiencing this before.
How do they walk on lead: Walks well on lead on her harness but can be excitable at times. Loves people and therefore likes to stay close when out and about. Can jump up and pull at times but not with too much strength and does listen to handlers.
Any reactive behaviour seen: No reactive behaviour seen currently, can get very excited when meeting new people and does like to jump up at times.
What are they fed: Mixture of wet and dry food twice a day
