Peanut is an adorable young boy who came into our care with his brother Butter through no fault of their own. At just 14 weeks old, he is looking for a fresh start in a home where he can truly thrive.
Although Peanut and Butter are in foster together, they are being rehomed separately. Peanut will need a home with another dog already in residence, ideally a larger, neutered dog with a calm and steady temperament who can help guide him as he grows and settles.
Peanut is currently a timid boy, but at this crucial stage in his development, we are hopeful that with consistent socialisation, gentle encouragement, and the right role model, he will grow into the confident dog he has the potential to be. His new owners will need to be committed to ongoing training and able to meet both his physical and mental needs as he matures.
We feel Peanut would thrive in a home with experience of German Shepherds or similar breeds. Due to his sensitive nature, he would be best suited to a home with older children aged 12+, as the unpredictability of younger children may be overwhelming for him.
Peanut does have the potential to live with cats, provided he has a calm, cat-savvy canine companion to help show him appropriate behaviour.
Could you be the chance Peanut has been waiting for?
