Oreo is a wonderfully gentle mum who came into our care with her kittens. She has a calm, kind nature and enjoys quiet companionship, often seeking out gentle affection such as head and chin strokes. Oreo does prefer affection on her own terms and is not keen on being picked up or sitting on laps, but she is very people-oriented and likes to be close to those she trusts!
Having spent her time devoted to raising her kittens, Oreo can be a little unsure in new situations and will need a calm, understanding home where someone is around for much of the day to help her settle and build confidence. Whilst she wouldn’t be rehomed as an indoor-only cat, she is not particularly interested in exploring outdoors yet and would be happiest in a home where she can feel safe, relaxed and unhurried as she adjusts to life beyond motherhood.
Iris is Oreo’s daughter and the most relaxed and easy-going of the litter. She is playful, curious and enjoys interacting with the world around her, while also taking comfort from her mum’s presence. Iris is growing in confidence each day and is learning to enjoy gentle strokes and closeness. She thrives on companionship and benefits greatly from the reassurance Oreo provides.
We’re rehoming Oreo and Iris together, as their bond gives them both comfort and security. They would be best suited to a quiet household where people are home most of the time, with children aged 12 years and over, pending suitable meets. They would be best suited as the only pets in the home so they can receive all the attention and stability they deserve.
Together, Oreo and Iris are a sweet, gentle pair who would flourish in a patient, loving home that allows them to settle at their own pace and enjoy the safety and consistency they have been missing.
