Meet Guinness!
Guinness is a three month old Dobermann puppy with a huge amount of potential ahead of him. We believe he may be a melanistic Dobermann due to his striking all-black colouring.
Like any Dobermann puppy, Guinness is clever, active, and full of character. He’s at an age where the foundations put in place now will shape the dog he becomes, so he is looking for a breed experienced home who understand the breed and the commitment involved in raising a young Dobermann.
It is essential Guinness goes to a large breed or Dobermann experienced home with owners who are confident with training, socialisation, and meeting the needs of a growing working breed. He needs owners who can provide structure, guidance, and ongoing training to help him develop into a well-rounded adult.
He would love another steady Dobermann, or similar breed, in the home to help show him the ropes and support his development. However, he could live as an only dog with owners committed to continuing his training and providing him with appropriate outlets and enrichment.
Guinness will need owners who are around for much of the day initially to help him settle, build a routine, and support him through all the usual puppy stages. Ongoing socialisation and training will be incredibly important for him. We also run puppy training classes here at the centre and would love to see Guinness continue his learning journey with us.
Dobermanns are incredibly loyal dogs and make fantastic companions in the right homes. Guinness has all the ingredients to become an amazing dog – he just needs experienced owners who can help him get there
We are rehoming Guinness on behalf of the RSPCA SE Somerset Branch.
Could you give Guinness the home he deserves?
