Meet Drew, our 6-month-old Collie Cross Labrador
Drew is a fun, energetic youngster who is more than ready to trade kennel life for a home where he can really stretch his legs. He’s full of energy, always up for an adventure, and has that happy, enthusiastic outlook on life that makes him great fun to be around.
Drew would be just as happy as the only dog in the home, where he can be the centre of attention, or living with another calm, well-balanced dog who won’t mind his bouncy play style.
With his mix of collie brains and labrador enthusiasm, Drew will need an active, experienced home that can keep up with him. He’s the type of dog who will thrive when given a job to do, whether that’s training, enrichment, or plenty of structured exercise to keep both his body and mind busy.
He’s still very much a youngster, so ongoing training is essential. We offer puppy classes at the centre, and his adopters should be committed to continuing his training and bringing him along. This will help him learn how to channel his enthusiasm, build focus, and develop into a well-mannered adult!
As he grows, Drew may show some herding tendencies, so a cat-free home would be ideal, or one with a confident, dog-savvy cat who can hold their own.
Drew could live with children aged 10 years and over who are comfortable around an energetic, bouncy dog.
Weight: Currently around 14kg (still growing, expected to reach approximately 22kg)
Drew is bursting with potential and personality, and he’s looking for a home that can match his energy – could that be you?
