Archibald is such a sweetie, he is a retired racing greyhound who is looking for a home with owners who can give him the love and attention he has never had before. He has always been kept in a kennel and has never had a place to call home or a comfy sofa to lie on, so we would love to find him an owner who could provide this for him.
He is incredibly affectionate and laid back and loves the company of people and he could potentially live with children of 12+ years after suitable meets at the Centre.
Archibald enjoys going into our paddocks for a quick sprint around and is then more than happy to relax and be a couch potato for the rest of the day. He does have a playful side and adores playing with toys. He walks well on the lead, but he will need to wear a muzzle in public places due to being an ex-racer.
He could potentially live with another dog of similar breed and/or size pending successful meets at the Centre, but he is not suitable to be homed with small dogs or cats.
As is typical with most greyhounds, Archie doesn’t require a lot of exercise, but will need to be let off the lead in a secure area only due to his lack of recall.
If you’re looking for a laid-back, friendly companion and can provide Archibald with a safe, secure environment where he can thrive, please consider offering him his forever home. Archibald is ready to bring love and joy to his new family.
