Be a part of our Enrichment Programme

At St Giles Animal Centre Welfare we warmly welcome children, young people and adults of all ages who may be overcoming isolation, exclusion and social and emotional difficulties. Those seeking personal growth, acceptance, connection and recovery will have the opportunity to find it here.

We are an ideal setting for those who thrive being outdoors amongst friendly dogs, cats and humans. The range of services provided by St Giles Animal Centre allows students to experience first hand the many different elements of effective animal care offering knowledge as well as inspiring an ambition to learn. Mentees will work closely with a number of different rescue animals alongside the animals’ journey to  potential new homes.

We provide the space and opportunity for those participating to grow not only in confidence but also to expand their animal skills and knowledge with bespoke plans to suit educational and personal needs as well as interests. Experiences can also be tailored to meet the needs of EHC plans.

Mentors will provide guidance, feedback and support to all mentees whilst serving as a role model, teacher and ally.

All our sessions are run by trained teaching professionals and work closely with local schools and organisations to make each visit unique a memorable one.

Our Mission

To provide rescue support for abused, abandoned, displaced pets; to ultimately introduce them to a loving family and find their forever home.

Our Vision

To create a safe place for ALL rescued animals to find succor, healing and hope. To help educate and transform human/pet relationships through continual learning.

Our Values

To provide the same level of love and care for all our stakeholders as we do our rescues. To be recognised not just for the good work we do but for the good we inspire.

Volunteer

Volunteering is an enjoyable way of helping a rescue animal and can be very rewarding to both you and the animal. We have a range of volunteering roles from dog walking and cat cuddling through to helping raise much needed funds or home visiting. You will meet like minded people and enjoy developing or learning new skills.
